Update on Lily

Well, I think the DiaStat is out of her system now. She is back to her happy, occasionally whiny (as all 3 yr olds can be lol) self! I am very glad. I know she needs the DiaStat to stop the seizures but I can't help worry about these meds. I know they have been tested, etc but she's just so little, hardly more than a baby, really.

Guess I am just having a "worry night" as I like to call them. Oh well.

Once again thank you all for the visits, comments, support and spreading the word! You have no idea how much we appreciate it!

  1. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble getting an appropriate diagnosis and help for Lily.

It barely compares, but my 5yo son has asthma and most common colds end up being a balance between a ton of steriods (inhalers and prednisone) and ER trips. I can't help but worry what these meds - for the past three years - have done to his body, too. I lay awake listening for every cough trying to find the one that causes his asthma to kick up and would mean an ER trip soon. It's very emotionally wearing - and I'm sure you're terribly tired from this, too.

Life is a journey - one day you will look back at these days and remember how tough it was, how terrible it was to go through this long phase of life. And hopefully you can hug your big girl tight and be a lot less worried about her health because it will be diagnosed and managed by then.
